Personal data of EGOI participants is processed by Stichting Informatica Olympiade (Postbus 85183, 3508 AD UTRECHT, The Netherlands, info@informaticaolympiade.nl) for the purpose of administering EGOI 2024. This is on the basis of Article 6(1)(f) of the EU General Data Protection Regulation.
Names and email addresses of national EGOI contacts are processed for the purposes of sending invitations and other communications relating to EGOI 2024 and providing access to the EGOI registration system, and will be provided to the next host country for that purpose.
This information is provided by those contacts or by IOI contacts for those countries or by other representatives. National EGOI contacts may contact info@egoi2024.nl to change the details used for their countries.
The following information related to EGOI participants is made available on the EGOI 2024 website as a permanent historical record of EGOI 2024: name, country, role, contestant code, scores (on individual problems and total), rank and awards (contestants only), photograph (optional).
This information is provided by the national EGOI contacts at registration time, or, in the case of scores, determined after the contest.
Photographs are required at registration and will be used on the name badge. Participants may consent to using the photograph on the website. Photographs will be removed on requests made by participants to info@egoi2024.nl.
In addition to the public information about participants, the following information is collected at registration: gender, date of birth, passport or identity card number, passport or identity card scan, nationality, name as in passport, languages, allergies and dietary requirements, t-shirt size, contact information such as e-mail, discord, phone, arrival and departure places, dates, times and flight numbers, photograph.
This information is not public, but is available to the EGOI Host Organization for the purposes of administering EGOI. It is retained until three months after EGOI 2024 is held and may remain in backups for a further year. Note that the birthdate, gender and e-mail address are maintained forever. They will never be made public.
This information is used to prevent duplicate entries in future years. The e-mail address is used to contact the student to join the EGOI alumni group.

The EGOI registration system uses cookies to track sessions for logged-in users. The EGOI website does not make any other uses of cookies.
Web access logs for the EGOI website, containing details of the URLs accessed, the IP address and user agent used for the access, the date and time of the access and the amount of data transmitted, are retained for a year and may remain in backups for a further year.
